The importance of School Resource Officers (SROs) is a topic being debated in communities across the world. For those of us who work in school and community safety, it’s a very important subject and we regularly advocate regarding the importance of their roles in our schools. These police officers are different and they add a layer of protection for our children and teachers in our school communities, very often becoming a trusted adult for many of the students.
