We are delighted to announce Karl Ballard as the Community Safety Champion of the Year!
Deputy Chief Karl Ballard was nominated for his ongoing support of the DeAngelis Center Foundation trainings and commitment to ensuring every officer throughout Colorado has access to trainings that prevent and prepare for tragedies. Deputy Chief Ballard has continuously advocated for more trainings and resources to keep our communities safe as well as his understanding of the importance of collaboration between law enforcement agencies, other responders, schools, and community members. He has frequently ensured that the DeAngelis Center Foundation is involved in meetings with stakeholders and collaborated to provide additional trainings.
We are incredibly grateful to Deputy Chief Ballard for his dedication and his positive attitude in every interaction we have with him to support school and community safety. He genuinely cares and we are proud to feature him as once of our subject matter experts and friends.
