Creating Safe Spaces to Learn: Strategies for Eliminating Extreme Classroom Behaviors
We’ve seen an increase in extreme student behavior in the past several years.  Common practices such as clearing classrooms may actually cause additional trauma for the struggling child and their classmates.  That and other strategies also impact student learning time significantly.
This collaborative and practical training empowers principals, teachers, and support staff with a variety of skills to address extreme classroom behaviors and foster safe, supportive spaces where all students can learn and thrive. Participants will explore the root causes of challenging behaviors and develop proactive, trauma-informed strategies to prevent escalation and support students in crisis. Through interactive discussions and scenario-based activities, participants will learn how to build positive relationships, de-escalate conflicts, and create inclusive environments that promote respect, belonging, and academic success.
This training is open to everyone!
